I would like to print some professional looking postcards?
Can someone tell me what kind of postcard paper professional printing companies use. Such as is it card stock and what weight is good (I see stuff like 80 lb cover etc…I have know Idea what this means). I use the laser printer in my office, so what kind of postcard paper should I use for a laser printer if I want my postcards glossy with a semi-glossy back that will actually work with a laser printer.( I have tried running glossy paper through a laser printer and it burns the gloss off). I would like to know what to look for when selecting the paper so they look professional.
You can print full color postcards for a fairly good price if you find the right online printing company. Look for certain quality aspects: UV-coating options (this will make the cards ultra shiny – it’s more of a preference, but it’s nice to have this option), paper quality is 12pt, 14pt or 16pt, which is nice and heavy. 80# cover is too flimsy and will fall apart
