Quilted postcards are made from fabric, which is then fused to a stiffener like Timtex, then cardstock for the postcard part fused to the back. All in size 4×6 inches. And absolutely legal to mail. Front of card can be one piece of material that you like, or you can piece it just like a quilt block, or applique, whatever your favorite method is. I do piecing and some wool applique. I joined a postcard swap group with yahoo and have been making and receiving fabric postcards for a couple of months now. All the postcards that we swap do not have cardstock on the back. They all have fabric, like muslin that you write the to and from information onto.
